Welcome to Shattered Dreams, a multi race rpg. We would first like to thank you for stopping by and taking a look at our site. If you happen to join, even better. We will try and make this site as friendly as possible with few restrictions. Like any other site, we do have a few rules that we must lay down. But they aren't to hard to follow.
Be respectful to all members of the site and especially to the admins. If you don't know who the Administration staff are they are in White, they are also located in the Administration box to the left. You’re allowed to have as many characters as you wish, as long as you keep them active. When you are in a role-play situation, please try to remain literate. One-liners are not acceptable and never will be. One- Liners will be treated like spam and will be deleted. As a guideline, try to make it to six sentences in your post.
Content Warning!: Due to the nature of this site having violence and gore, it is rated as Mature and is R- Rated. This means people under the age of sixteen must not apply. Not that we wouldn't want you to join, however please respect our wishes as we strive to protect the innocent. All Content must be rated regardless. There are no exceptions to this rule. If it isn't rated it gets deleted and you will be warned. We don't want to hear that so and so walked in on a gruesome kill and found it inappropriate because there wasn't a rating on it. So let's keep these rated please. Drama is fine, it's a part of life. So lets say If little Jimmy’s mother dies, then she dies. If a woman gets pregnant, she gets pregnant, So on and so forth, just please don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill.
NO killing characters without permission from character and the admins. your own character or simply a character entwined in your role play. This is so that we don't have too many unrealistic murders/deaths. It's simply not right to just kill others on a mere whim and it gets old fast. Remain Active! This site cannot function without an active member base. It’s understandable if you’re not on all of the time. I mean, we do all have a life away from the computer, but come on, it’s not that hard to check it every couple of days or so.
Characters that are inactive for a month will be deleted. Once you have been approved, you are free to role-play and develop your character. It is a common courtesy to allow people the chance to accept your character and we find it incredibly rude when a person begins role playing when they haven't been accepted. Follow the normal role-playing rules. No god-modding. You’re not God, nor will you ever be, so you can’t possibly know the actions, thoughts, and speak of the person you’re role-playing with.
Remember that you are playing as a fictional character. It is very easy to get the life of your character mixed up with your own personal life. Don’t develop your character to be similar to your own life. This is the most important rule! To ease confusion, people who are playing more than one character must create a new account for each of them! It’s easier for all that way. Please supply a signature image for your character(s). Just remember: your signature image(s) must not stretch the page. If they do, you will be asked to resize them. Image may be no more then: 400 x 250. [400 width x 250 height]
